I'm excited to share a sneak peek into how I custom-machine quilted this adorable flower quilt. I recently completed this quilt for a client and had a wonderful time bringing it to life through free motion quilting.
This quilt is the perfect project to showcase my Sway ruler collection. In today's video, I'll demonstrate marking and quilting with the Sway 3, 4, and 5 rulers. I'll also discuss my upcoming PNQ Academy video, which takes you behind the scenes of my full custom quilting process.
A few essentials - I used So Fine! thread color 403, which beautifully complements the quilt design. Pre-wound bobbins in a neutral tone complete the look. My Gammill longarm and extended base plate provides a smooth work surface. A yummy Quilter's Dream Wool batting adds a lovely texture.
Let's get started! I'll start by marking with the Sway 3 ruler and blue Mark B Gone marker. Then it's time for stitching, using the regulated mode at 13 spi. Of course, I'll find ways to incorporate my mini 4-N-1 ruler and Piece N Quilt Pop Socket grip too.
Thank you for joining me today. I hope you find this demonstration informative and inspiring. Don't forget to smash that subscribe button while watching this YouTube video!
Happy quilting!
