French President Emmanuel Macron said Wednesday that he wanted to open a debate on extending France's nuclear deterrent to other European nations, as security risks rise in the wake of Russia's invasion of Ukraine. Macron also said that European military forces could be sent to Ukraine if a peace deal is signed to ensure that Russia does not invade its neighbour again.
