Mahakabi Kirtibas is inspirational biography based on the life of the great poet of Bengal, Kirtibas. It portrays the story of his life, his wife and his own extreme sacrifice, his days of penance and his enlightenment and right till the end of his time. Through his life, many virtues of humanity, like kindness, pity, understanding and charity are stressed upon. And also the credit of writing the epic Ramayana in Bengali, an almost impossible feat for any poet to achieve. There is much stress on the value of religion and how it is being misused by holy men, fake superstition and false rituals. It gives the message of love, care and social understanding
