The real meaning of Kumbh is Aquarius pot. Our body is also an Aquarius which we keep filling every day with our desires, animosity etc.
We keep many things hidden inside the pot of human body which has an impact on our mind, heart and consciousness. These things emerge from many influences in life and these become the basis of our conduct.
To live life happily and contentedly, it is necessary to empty this pot from time to time and fill it with holy and pure thoughts.
Celebrating Kumbh festival is meaningful only with inner purity.
कुंभ पर्व को मनाने का कारण है जीवन में अमृत तत्व को प्राप्त करना।
कुंभ का वास्तविक अर्थ है कलश । हमारा शरीर भी एक कुंभ है जिसे हम प्रतिदिन अपनी इच्छाओं, वैमनस्यता आदि से भरते रहते हैं।
मनुष्य शरीर रुपी कलश के अंदर हम बहुत सी बातों को छुपा कर रखते हैं जिसका हमारे मन, हृदय और चैतन्य पर प्रभाव पड़ता है। जीवन में अनेक प्रभावों से ये बातें बाहर निकलती हैं और यही हमारे आचरण का आधार बनती हैं ।
जीवन को प्रसन्नता और संतुष्टि से व्यतीत करने के लिए यह आवश्यक है कि समय - समय पर इस कलश को खाली किया जाये और इसे पवित्र और शुद्ध विचारों से भरा जाये।
आंतरिक पवित्रता से ही कुंभ पर्व को मनाना सार्थक होता है।
