Main Bhi Bharat is the first ever TV programme in India on the tribes. This programme deals with the issues related to the culture, identity, lifestyle and livelihood of the tribals.
In this episode, RSTV team travelled to the tribal districts of Madhya Pradesh to understand the issues related to the livelihood of the tribal community. It was noticed that there is big shift in the way agriculture was now done. In place of traditional agriculture, tribals are now using hybrid seeds and pesticides. Initially this practice increased the produce, but with time it proved disastrous for the tribal farmers, the worst hit being the marginal farmer. Because of this new way of farming, he is rapidly becoming a landless labourer.
