A day trip to 2 narrow gauge lines in Maine...
- Maine Narrow Gauge Railroad Company & Museum in Portland
- Wiscasset, Waterville & Farmington Railway in Alna
Disappointingly, the locomotive in Portland had boiler problems and was awaiting recertification so I didn't stop long there before continuing up to Alna for the WW&F where I road 2 trains.
The railway was heavily traffic'ed due to the Lavender Pickin’ Dinnertime Trains to SeaLyon Farm. It was really great to see and even with the rain people appeared to be very happy with the experience.
