Hat blocks at Aung Crown were all well made by Wenquan Liang (梁文权）, a famous hat blocks maker in China who has been a carpenter for 50 years.
We did an interview with Mr. Liang out of curiosity about his excellent skills.
A few years ago, many hat blocks were imported from Korea or Japan.
Liang found it frustrating.
"We Chinese people were not good at making hat molds? Does it have to be imported?"
Ever since that, he decided to make hat blocks better and better by himself.
He believes handmade items are always more flexible and more lively than the machine-made ones.
He focused on it wholeheartedly, in the end, more and more clients came to do business with him, which made him be the industry standard.
"Nothing in the world is difficult for one who sets his mind to it."
