Today's video was very difficult for me. In this video I show my process of making an urn for my youngest pup, Galaxy. She passed away last week due to an autoimmune condition that we didn't know she had until it was too late. It was a very difficult week for our entire family.
As a wood turner, I wanted to make something for her ashes so it would add a personal touch.
We choose ambrosia maple for the majority of the urn because it is my wife's favorite wood. I had some (what I believe to be) mahogany that I just recently got from my grandpa's work shop. So I wanted to add that to the design as well.
In the end, we ended up with a beautiful urn that was made specifically for my beautiful Galaxy Girl.
