Making a Tree Trunk Terrarium
I used a 5 litre glass jar with a lid for this terrarium build.
A honeycomb dritwood and river stones were used for the terrarium hardscape.
The terrarium soil mix is as follows:
Coco Peat - 2 parts
River Sand - 1 part
PIneBark - 1 part
Dry Sphagnum Moss - 1 part
Activated Carbon - 1/2 part
Aquasoil - 1/2 part
Drainage layer was created using crushed lava rocks. The carbon layer has been skipped in this build. It should be fine since activated carbon has already been added to the soil mix.
For planting the terrarium the follow plants has been used:
Sheet Moss
Fern Montana
Bolbitis Difformis
Hemigraphis Repanda
Ficus Quercifolia
Ficus Pumila Minima
Pellionia Repens
Selaginella Uncinata
Springtails were added for mold prevention and control.
