Good morning!
I hope you enjoy this video of me making some chopsticks.
They have been an item I've wanted to make for a very long time. I watched some other videos on how to make some and never got around to making their jig.
How I actually came about mine was by accident. I was working on making some flat spatulas and noticed the off cuts looked very chopsticky.
With a slight modification to my process and a quick and simple v grove jig I was in buisness making both chopsticks and short flat spatulas (which are great for scraping sourdough jars)
(I'll add a video about that process here when I get to edit it.)
The sticks start off 12 inches and can be cut to a custom size. I did a little research and found chopstick length and shapes are determined on region country and user hand sizes
I have been selling 9.5in, mostly at craft fairs, which happen to be more Japanese length style.
If you wish to order chopsticks send me a message through my website seeing as they are not online yet!
Thank you for watching and please help me out by subscribing.
