Hello!
I have 2 nursery bins that I am planning on sifting - for the castings - in the next few weeks. These bins are full of small to medium sized worms already but there are still plenty of cocoons and wisps (what newly hatched worms are commonly called) in the bedding as well.
I’d like to use the next few weeks before the sifting to prep the bins as best I can to make sifting as easy and effective as possible.
I had the thought that if I feed these new worms food known to fatten worms up, it could help! So I’m going to feed these bins worm chow instead of veggie scraps.
It’s an experiment! Let’s see how it goes!
