Häagen Dazs Strawberries & Cream is a creamy, fruity tub of summer deliciousness. It's an ice cream that you can count on when you can't make your own but when you can........ now is the time to look at making a better version of Häagen Dazs Strawberries & Cream and whilst at it....making it vegan or plant based.
The key here (as i've recently found) is the use of carnation vegan condensed milk. It really is a revelation and I thinkk you'll find out why when you make this recipe. Can get this carnation vegan condensed milk where you are?
What you will need:
500g Ripe strawberries
100g Sugar
Splash of lemon juice
370g Carnation vegan condensed milk
500g Vegan/Plant Based cream (Elmlea Plant Based)
50g Glucose
40g Vegan milk (low flavour type like rice milk or oat milk)
You'll macerate the strawberries for a little bit with the sugar and lemon juice then cook them out.
