Click the blue button to donate now, or go to https://teamtrees.org/ In this video I show you a really neat experiment that lets you actually see photosynthesis happening in front of your eyes. I use spinach leaf disks soaked in baking soda that have had the air sucked out of them, then I shine light on them in order to induce photosynthesis. The leaves then make oxygen which makes them float in water due to the increased buoyancy. This video is part of the #teamtrees collaboration! *recipe for water solution in video: -1/8 tsp baking soda to 300 ml of water -1 drop of liquid soap The Action Lab Box: https://www.theactionlab.com The Action Lab Experiment Book: https://amzn.to/2Wf07x1 Or buy wherever books are sold Follow me on Twitter: https://twitter.com/theactionlabman Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/theactionlabofficial/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/therealactionlab/ Watch other popular videos from my channel What's Inside the Worlds' Fastest Heat Conductor? https://youtu.be/OR8u__Hcb3k Can You Use Umbrellas Instead of a Parachute? https://youtu.be/zm_7txMrG5U Opening a Bottle of Liquid Nitrogen Under Water! https://youtu.be/pXlJMTx4kW4 Warning: DO NOT TRY—Seeing How Close I Can Get To a Drop of Neutrons https://youtu.be/jAgBiFWd-yA My Other Channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCA19mAJURyYHbJzhfpqhpCA *Any experiment you try is at YOUR OWN RISK.
