Making my TX22 Reliable. Break in, Polish, Dry Lube

Video Not Working? Fix It Now

If you watched my Unboxing review of the Taurus TX22, you'll know that this gun did not run very well out of the box. Even after a few hundred rounds, and a good cleaning, this TX22 was not as reliable as I would have liked. Reading the comments on that first video are decisive, to say the least. They ranged from, "you got a lemon" to "you don't know what you're doing." Well, I'm happy to report that after a bit of love, this little .22 runs like a top, though I did find that federal automatch will keyhole out of this barrel. I'll need to experiment with other rounds to see if this is an isolated issue, or it has key holing issues with other types of ammunition as well. I polished the feed ramps, and the frame rails. I also cleaned and added a dry lubricant to the mags. These were pivotal in making this gun go from a problem child to a shooter.
