Vermicelli is a very thin round pasta that we use to make one of the most decadent warm desserts. Everyone makes it different - from almost completely dry to weak and runny, with differing sweetness and richness. My recipe calls for condensed milk and a liter of milk so you know its going to be very rich.
Quantity serves 8-10 people - adjust according to your requirements
Ingredients
~250g vermicelli
125g margarine
1 large cinnamon stick
8 whole green elaichi
1/4 cup sago, soaked 1 hour before in a cup of water
1 1/2 cup water
1 lt milk
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 can of condensed milk (385g can)
1/2 tsp vanilla essence
8 almonds, chopped fine
Fresh cream to pour over when serving
