I recently needed to get rid of a big rock at the homestead but had no tools for the job. The rock you see me splitting in this video was just a small one to test the wedges on. The one i need to remove is about four times as big.
For the holes i used a 22 mm drill bit for stone and happened to find some scrap round stock in the same dimension to make the shims from. The wedges are made from coil spring. This was a very fast and crude job that needed to get done, but i decided to make it into a video project at the same time.
Not all goes according to plan in my projects. Stay tuned for the bloopers and outtakes at the end of the video.
