Massive thanks too Mr Blick for giving me and my mom (of course I brought my mom along for this one) a tour of this stunning place. In southern Virginia the Blick plantation was built most likely around the mid to late 1700’s. It features a cornucopia of unique architectural features and designs that you would never find in homes of today. The whole home is constructed from huge timbers joined by wooden dowels, no nails needed for that. This marvel of architectural engineering sat vacant for nearly half a century before being found and purchased by the 8th generation of the family. Mr Blick now plans to restore and preserve the home. Huge thank you to Mr. blick for giving me and my madre a tour. Listen to his incredible story and learn about the unique construction of this home and the families who walked its walls. Please consider checking out Mr Blicks Facebook, YouTube channel and donating to help with the funding too save this incredible old place. Thanks for watching.
