Radha and Ravi get marired after some courting . Both belong to same economic strata . Radha has had a poignant childhood with her father gambling away all his money and a wary mother who always advises her about men and money. After marriage she realises that her husband Ravi is also a gambler and has gambled her away . His step mother Anuradha is always chiding him and his sister while his father looks on helplessly . Radha sets about bring the chaos and confusion to an end . She also gets Sitara married to her rich BF Rahman . He shines in his short role as a rich boy riding big cars in his sleek tall frame . Sitara and Radha are good eye candy. Radha wear simply sarees through out and manages a myraid of emotions , an innocent girl initially, then a lover, then a confused frustrated defeated wife , then a confident woman who sets her family right. Her look alike Anuradha looks resplendent in chiffons and sarees as a glamour ridden young evil step mother .Ravi stands with Radha side by side in acting out various roles , as a jobless youth taunted by his step mother, a caring brother , a helpless gambler, an angry husband initially then as an understanding one .
