The Connor subplot in Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage is entertaining, but it unintentionally draws attention to a Big Bang Theory tragedy. Everything had gone really well for Sheldon Cooper by the end of The Big Bang Theory. In addition to marrying the love of his life and winning the Nobel Prize, his pals were happy that he was finally acknowledging their years of unwavering support. His family members' circumstances, however, were far less favorable.
Although their own lives appeared to be somewhat dismal, Sheldon's siblings supported him. Missy was last seen carrying her ex-husband's child, and Georgie was divorced—neither of which seemed like happy ends for such generally likeable folks. These outcomes appeared noticeably worse at the end of Young Sheldon. Though their canonical fates were still bleak, viewers had come to adore Missy and Georgie by that point. Young Sheldon season 7's Georgie and Mandy's First Marriage title suggests that Georgie's lovely marriage wasn't meant to continue.
