For more details please visit: https://os.me/courses/kundalini-meditation-course/ The fourth video in this series. In this discourse, Om Swami expounds about the Manipur chakra, which is the navel chakra also known as the solar plexus. It governs the pitta, the heat or bile element according to Ayurveda and it controls the fire element in the body. Om Swami says that the way the chakras affect the humors in the body starting from the root chakra is like this - vata, khapha, pitta, vata, khapha, pitta. The root is vata, sacral is khapha and navel is pitta. Then the anahat ( heart chakra ) is vata, throat chakra is khapha and ajna chakra is pitta. So the element is earth, water, fire in this order. Heat lives in our body in the Manipur chakra. The greatest concentration of heat in our body is in the stomach. If your stomach is in order then you will be disease-free. The seed syllable for this chakra is L with a ng sound and is represented by L with a dot. The color of the chakra is blood red. Here the Devi (energy) is with three faces. The three faces represent the three modes of material nature and they are sattva(goodness), rajas(passion), and tamas(ignorance). Om Swamy says that when you meditate on the Manipur chakra you gain control over your sleep and your appetite. He further says that it bestows on the meditator a very sharp sense of intuition. So, the most important chakra in the body is the Manipur chakra. He further says that if there was one chakra that you want to meditate on then it should be the Manipur chakra.
