I show how to get your wall studs right so you can install your backer board and have a flat substrate to install your tile. A flat wall or floor will always make it much easier and faster to install your tile, and will give you better results without having to struggle to get your tile just the way you want it, flat and lippage free. I show you the importance of Keying, also known as burning and sometimes priming, your substrate to facilitate better transfer of the mortar from wall to tile or tile to wall if you prefer to notch your tile as many tile setter will do in many cases where it makes the job easier to install. I show you an easy way to mark tile for diagonal cuts, cut a tile sliver without it breaking, how to set a shelf in a niche, set mosaic tile in tight places and how to cut a U in a tile the easy way. Get the perfect layout, when you need to figure how to get the stagger you need or divide the tile into exact fractions, and more.
