كان مارون مشعلاني زعيما في حزب الكتائب اللبناني. بدأ حياته العسكرية في عام ١٩٦٩ وشارك في الحرب عام ١٩٧٩. وفي وقت لاحق من حياته ، عاش يقظة دينية وترك الحياة السياسية والعسكرية لنمط حياة أكثر ديانة. في أوائل عام ٢٠١٩، نشر كتابه المثير للجدل "حرب الصليب" بثلاث لغات حيث روج للسلام ودافع ضد الحرب.
مع "ريكاردو كرم" برنامج حواري منوّع يستقبل ضيفاً أو مجموعة ضيوف، جميعهم ملهمين. يهدف من خلاله ضخّ الحماسة عند الشباب عبر الإضاءة على مواضيع أو حكايا تشكّل مصدر وحي لهم حتى يقولوا :"أنا ايضاً أستطيع".
Maroun Machaalani was a leader in the Lebanese Phalanges political party. He started his militant life in 1969 and participated in the war in 1979. Later in his life, he experienced a faith awakening and left the political and militant life for a more relegious life style. Early in 2019, he published his controvercial book "War Cross" in 3 languages in which he promoted peace and advocated against war.
