Masayoshi Takanaka is a Japanese jazz-fusion guitarist/composer starting from the 1970s to present day. One of my personal favourites I discovered a few years back.
This video is part of the "Masayoshi Takanaka Live" playlist I have created personally. The spreadsheet on the description includes downloads of the remux, encode and scans. More below!
https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL41lx-MpdFU2TKc600ylGPkgj-3hw2oTL
Musicians:
- Guitar: Masayoshi Takanaka
- Percussion: Nobu Saito
- Drums: Soul Toul
- Bass: Hideki Matsubara
- Keyboards: Yoshinobu Kojima, Tohru Shigemi
I just had to encode this for YouTube, since the file doesn't de-interlace by default.
Notes:
Edit ~ April 2023: I used the wrong de-interlacing method when encoding this to YouTube originally. Have now updated the Encode in the spreadsheet listed above in the Takanaka playlist, with a better de-interlacing method: QTGMC, instead of Decomb in Handbrake. That's why it turned out super fuzzy on the edges of surfaces.
This is my personal rip from the DVD. Encoded using the DVD Remux with Staxrip. De-interlaced with QTGMC Medium preset at 29.97fps. CRF 20. Audio 192kb/s VBR.
Enjoy!
