A multiday lake effect snow event hit areas with up to 6 feet of snow east of Lake Ontario. The hardest hit towns included Camden, Lee, and Ava where over 65" of snow fell in just a few days. We were in an area from Parish to Camden on the days of 1/4-1/5 with snowfall rates up to 5" an hour at times. There was some orographic lift in spots that further enhanced the snowfall. This is just another event in a VERY active lake effect snow season. January looks to continue colder than average with more lake effect snow outbreaks!
