神社、寺院建築で使われる木鼻という装飾の唐草彫刻です。
たぶん、古い直会殿の改修で、古くなった木鼻も新しくするというので、
宮大工さんが古い木鼻の見本を持って来られたのですが
「もうちょっといい感じにしてください」というリクエストがあったので、元の古い木鼻のデザインを生かしつつ、新たにデザインし直しました。
古建築で使われる木鼻という装飾がどのようにして作られるのかの作業工程を動画にしました。
