The Archives of Falconry continues its Master Class Video Series with Episode 2: Sewing a Custom Gauntlet. Second-generation falconer and glove maker, Orion Martinez, demonstrates the tools, materials and expertise needed to create custom leather falconry gloves in the style of his company, Traditions Glove, which began serving the falconry community in the late 1950s under founders Sal and Phyllis Kalem. This episode weaves together global falconry history with a uniquely American story, while offering a new look at an ancient handicraft, vital to our sport.
