100th Bomb Group B-17 pilot discusses the WW2 mission to Messerschmitt Me 109 aircraft factory at Regensburg. On mission to submarine pens at Bremen - 2 engines knocked out- 5 crew members bleeding- gunners credited with 9 Nazi fighters downed. Struggled to get back to England. Out of gas his landing gear collapsed, his control wires broke and he landed on short emergency runway. Over 800 bullet and flack holes in his plane -"Just a Snappin". Everett Blakely became squadron Commanding Officer in 100th Bomb Group. Everett Blakely 1919-2004.
