~~This is the property of Austin Majeski (me)~~~ ~~If you wish to use any of my footage/research, ~~please contact me (private message).~~ .~~~THANK YOU~~~ PlanetMinecraft LINK: http://www.planetminecraft.com/project/mathematically-what-if-minecraft-was-a-spherical-planet/ ** correction at: 3:55 ------ you actually travel at 3272.69 TIMES the speed of sound! WHOA!! (I don't know where the heck my math went wrong there lol) ================================== Important To Note: - The sand took 1.107 seconds to fall 10 meters from rest, but because the game takes a 20th of a second to update, so we can subtract 0.05s from the time it took to reach 1.107s to get the time it was actually falling: 1.057s. - All weather data used to find Minecraft's ocean temperature and air temperature, were made with the knowledge/assumption that everywhere on the planet gets the same amount of sun. Therefore, at what temperature could it rain, snow, and have desert-like conditions, if the only thing that could disrupt nearby temperatures were the oceans. **(lava pockets on the surface may also have an affect)** ========Article I Wrote============= https://www.dropbox.com/s/75s4dseghuxfyfl/Mathematically%20what%20if%20Minecraft%20was%20a%20Spherical%20Planet.pdf ^This goes further in-depth. Plug in this: ((1/373.15)-((8.3144598*ln((3.97881368557*10^17706)/760))/40700))^(-1) ==================================== ===========Opening Footage by========= Past Life Pro https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i7P4hjusxB0 ==================================== ==============Music================= "Inspired" Kevin MacLeod (incompetech.com) Licensed under Creative Commons: By Attribution 3.0 License http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/ ==================================== PS: I did this as a Final Project in my Physics class :D PPS: ^I started WAY beforehand, like 2 months prior, but I did not work for the whole two months. ALL of THIS work was done within the last week/week-and-a-half. (I really only had my concept of HOW I was going to do this and my equations before I did my final calculations and decuple-checked all my work) PPPS: I HAD TO RENDER THIS VIDEO 4 TIMES BECAUSE I KEPT FINDING ERRORS IN MY WORK! .........., , ........\ 0 / ...........| ........./ \
