The Mazda CX80 is the company’s largest model in Europe, available with 6 or 7 seats!
Based on the successful CX60, the 80 has an extended wheelbase by 25cm to allow for more space for rear passengers and importantly the introduction of the 3rd row. It also is a little higher to give occupants more head room.
I was able to test both the PHEV model and the inline 6 cylinder 3.3L turbo-charged diesel engine. The PHEV had an official range of up to 38 miles in EV mode, I managed to return around 25 miles according to the car computer.
Mazda have designed a practical family SUV, which doesn’t compromise on luxury, the front of the cabin is essentially the same as the smaller CX-60.
