MEETING AN AMERICAN ARISTOCRAT IN ENGLAND: Find out where the sandwich was invented (Part 1)// Last weekend we had the HUGE honour to visit Julie Montagu also known als Lady Hinchingbrooke (many of you might know her from Ladies of London) and explore stunning Mapperton House & Gardens in Dorset. The sandwich was invented right here by the Earl of Sandwich! We spent the weekend at the beautiful Garden Cottage (stay tuned for the next video) on the estate and didn't want to leave.
Mapperton House & Gardens - 'the Nation's Finest Manor House' is home to the Earl and Countess of Sandwich and now run by Julie and Luke Montagu, Viscountess & Viscount of Hinchingbrooke. This is the place where the sandwich was invented! Julie Montagu is American and married into the British Aristocracy in 2004. She has her own YouTube channel 'Julie Montagu' where she teaches yoga and shares so much more like her love for vintage etc. You should definitely also check out Julie's & Luke's YouTube channel 'Mapperton Live' which gives you an amazing insight into the challenges of running an English country estate.
