With the EQE SUV, Mercedes-AMG is presenting another milestone in its electrification strategy: the first fully electric SUV from the sports and performance brand. Its variable interior and performance-oriented driving concept make it the most versatile electric vehicle in the Mercedes-AMG portfolio. The new model also offers generous space for passengers and luggage. Like the AMG EQS Saloon and the AMG EQE Saloon, the AMG EQE SUV is also based on the electric Mercedes-EQ platform. Its two powerful electric motors and fully variable all-wheel drive form the basis for the dynamic driving experience typical of AMG. In addition, the Mercedes-AMG developers have independently developed many other parameters. These include the AMG RIDE CONTROL+ air suspension with adaptive damping, rear-axle steering and AMG ACTIVE RIDE CONTROL, an AMG-specific roll stabilisation system. Added to this is the AMG SOUND EXPERIENCE and the exterior and interior design. The two new Mercedes-AMG EQE SUV models feature a performance-optimised drive concept with two electric motors. The powerful electric drivetrain (eATS) consisting of one motor each at the front and rear axle also enables fully variable all-wheel drive, which ideally converts drive power into performance in every driving situation. The output ranges from 350 kW (476 hp) for the EQE 43 4MATIC to 505 kW (687 hp) for the EQE 53 4MATIC+ with the optional AMG DYNAMIC PLUS package with boost function. The maximum torque developed is 858 to 1,000 Nm.
A further advantage of the new battery generation is the short charging times. The energy storage unit enables direct current charging at fast-charging stations with an output of up to 170 kW. In this case, the electricity for up to 170 kilometres (WLTP) can be charged in just 15 minutes. Thanks to the on-board charger, the electrified AMG can be conveniently charged at home or at public charging stations with alternating current and a charging power of 11 kW or, as an option, 22 kW.
