Mercedes UNIMOG vs Fiat Campagnola: la sfida ha inizio! (parte 1 di 3)

Playful challenge between two of the best standard off-road vehicles ever produced, the Mercedes Unimog 406 and the Fiat Campagnola. Two completely different worlds, the first a pickup truck, the second a car, but sharing excellent off-road skills. The first is absolutely number one when the mud is very deep in the plains or up to a medium slope, or if the boulders to overcome are enormous, due to its extraordinary height from the ground and angle of back; the second is however among the best production cars in the world in terms of ground clearance and traction, and overall it is better suited than the Unimog to steep and slippery climbs. The course was very long with 13 main Hard obstacles to overcome and on average in the first part it gave the Unimog an advantage due to the low amount of mud on fairly sloping and usually very slippery obstacles. The Mercedes in fact, due to the high loss / power ratio, starts to go into crisis if there is no traction on steep climbs. The second part, which included some passages in the ultra-deep mud and steps with thrilling bump angles, favored the Mercedes which, moreover, had brand new tires fitted for the occasion while the Campagnola is a few years old at about 65- 70%. So for the Campagnola it was a really tough challenge and full of emotions, in which she is not favored for the type of path faced. How will it end? Follow all the videos and we will find out !!!

P.S .: Our videos are the faithful accounts of our adventures that are not races to those who have the best off-road vehicle as each has different performances and would make little sense, but simple off-road days with friends. The fight is with one's own means and with oneself trying to improve and get closer to one's limit. If you climb well, if not, patience. With the Campagnola we try to do off-road in the old way with a completely original car, aiming to improve ourselves as drivers more than the means.
The modest disturbance that we cause to nature in our passage we repay by collecting the rubbish abandoned in the woods that we find.
Our vehicles are perfectly efficient, have no oil or other liquid leaks and therefore have no environmental impact.
When possible, we always avoid going over the meadows, always staying within roads and mule tracks marked or opened by the municipal lumberjacks with their bulldozers and tractors.
