In this lecture Professor Zach Murphy will be discussing cholesterol metabolism. We describe the various enzymatic processes involved in converting Acetyl-CoA into cholesterol. We also discuss the regulation of some of the more important enzymes in this pathway as well as their relationship to pharmaceuticals (statins).
