In this video you can see me find some very nice silver medieval coins with the metal detector! Two coins that were stuck together! A tiny medieval coin hoard! The coins are from the bishop of Utrecht, somewhere in the 12th Century. I also found a beautiful Disc Brooch when I was metal detecting together with my dog: Takkie. This brooch is early medieval, from the Carolingian period. Probably 9 or 10th Century. On the same field I also found a very nice button with horse on it. The horse is very simple and reminds me of Cave Paintings that were made by the Neanderthals. And my last find on this field was a late medieval ring brooch! Then it was time to move on to another field. I also found a nice hand full of good readable copper coins from the 16th and 17th Century. And on the same field i also found a siler dime from the year 1890, that was from King Willem III of the Netherlands.
I had a pretty good month! For those of you who don't already know me, my name is Mark.I live and metal detect in the Northern part of the Netherlands.
I try to find Roman and Medieval coins and relics with my Minelab Manticore metal detector! I try to make a video each month!
Thanks for watching! 😎👍🍀
