Methi Na Muthiya - Methi Muthiya Recipe in Gujarati | मेथी मुठिया बनाने की आसान विधि
Muthiya is Oxygen for we Gujaratis. We cannot live without it. Season may be anything, Muthiya will find its way into our menu. So if it’s Winter, then have combined Methi and Palak Leaves and also mixed Bajra atta with Besan and Wheat flour. Just few drops of oil and you can share the nutritious snack with all of the family.
Ingredients :
1 cup finely chopped Spinach (Palak)
1 cup finely chopped Fenugreek (Methi)
Salt as per taste
1 tsp Coriander (Dhaniya) Powder
1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder (Haldi)
Pinch of Asafoetida Powder (Hing)
1 tbs + more White Sesame Seeds (Safed Til)
1 tsp Sugar (optional)
1/2 tsp Ajwain
1/2 spoon Ginger, Garlic & Green Chilli paste
1/2 Lemon Juice
1 tbs + 1 tbs Oil
1/2 cup Wheat Flour (Gehu ka atta)
1/2 cup Pearl Millet Flour (Bajra Atta)
1/4 cup Gram Flour (Besan)
2 tsp Mustard Seeds (Rai)
Few Curry Leaves
Finely chopped Coriander Leaves
Method :
Take a mixing bowl, add 1 cup finely chopped Palak
Add 1 cup finely chopped Methi
Add Salt as per taste
Add 1 tsp Dhaniya Powder
Add 1/2 tsp Haldi
Add a pinch of Asafoetida Powder
Add 1 tbs Safed Til
Add 1 tsp Sugar (optional)
Add 1/2 tsp Ajwain
Add 1/2 spoon Ginger, Garlic & Green Chilli paste
Add 1/2 Lemon Juice
Add 1 tbs Oil and mix it well
Add 1/2 cup Gehu ka atta, 1/2 cup Bajre ka Atta &
1/4 cup Besan
Combine everything together and form a dough
Prepare cylindrical shape rolls from this dough and place them on a steamer plate
Keep this plate in pre heated steamer
Cover the lid and let them nicely cook
Once cooked, let them cool down and cut into small pieces
Let's prepare tadka, heat 1 tbs Oil in a pan
Add 2 tsp Mustard Seeds (Rai)
Add 1 tsp Safed Til
Add few Curry Leaves
Now add cut muthia and toss them well
Garnish with some fresh Coriander
