60+ trains featured in just 45 minutes! Located on the North end of Chicago Union Station, is Canal Street. A popular trainspotting location in Downtown Chicago, this spot provides endless Metra and Amtrak action, as all Northbound trains departing Chicago Union Station, traverse this location. Needless to say, action here is quite plentiful, and can occasionally cause some chaos between the city traffic and train traffic!
Featured here is a typical, busy morning rush hour for Metra trains on the Milwaukee District West, Milwaukee District North, and North Central Service lines. Amtrak's Hiawatha service running between Chicago and Milwaukee also makes an appearance. Footage mostly from February / March 2023, as well as mid 2024.
