Rick’s hatred of the words “authentic”, “easy”, and “simple” when discussing food shines throughout, and spoiler - these recipes are not any of those things. He warns us that his dishes won’t be done in 30 minutes and they are far from the “simple, modern Mexican” you’ll find on so many blogs today.
What this book offers are recipes that are authentic to Rick. Meals inspired not only by his travels across the 32 states in Mexico, but his road to self-acceptance.
