This is what happened to me when I read "The Surrender Experiment." In the first chapter, he says that one day he came home and found strangers building a house on his land. What did he do? Nothing! He surrendered. I would have called the cops, but not him.
I kept reading and at the end of each chapter, I said: "Wait. What!" – "Oh, C’mon! Seriously!?" – "He surrendered to THAT?" – And so on and so on.
I felt lucky to be invited to his home in Gainsville and interview him in person. After reading and listening to his book, I felt that I wanted what he had.
For the past 40 years, his life has had extremely difficult circumstances. For example, he was raided by the FBI, cheated out of money, and, yes, people built a house on his property more than once.
And he just surrendered. Who does that?
