Presented by Mark Weathington, Director, JC Raulston Arboretum on February 8, 2023. Introduction by Blake Wentley, Education Assistant, JCRA, with special guest appearances by Brie Arthur and Tom Ranney, Horticulturists and Friends of the Arboretum.
Winter is a fantastic time for fragrant flowers, and there's no better evidence for this than the distinguished members of the Thymelaeaceae plant family. Our lath house is presently inundated with the sweet scents produced by the likes of Daphne odora and Edgeworthia chrysantha, so we thought it would be a good time to sit down and sing the praises of this estimable family. Come and join Mark as he shows off some of the great specimens we keep at the JCRA, and be ready to be tempted into planning a trip out to the arboretum so you can smell for yourself what we're so excited about!
