Join me on an epic solo journey from Milan to Palermo, Sicily! This 21-hour trip took me on a first-class sleeper train, and we even got to board a ferry to get to Sicily. The train ride continued once we reached the island—such a cool experience! I enjoyed amazing views of the Italian coast, cute villages, and beautiful nature. I had a deluxe cabin all to myself, which cost 122 euros plus one day from my Interrail pass. It was super comfy for the long trip. Once in Palermo, I had a tasty meal—12 euros for pasta and cola, and 3 euros for ice cream. Cost: The deluxe cabin on the sleeper train cost 122 euros.
