Welcome to my restoration channel. This is a restoration of Milwaukee M12 Impact. I was at a local auction and picked this set up for around $30 USD. As seen or heard in the video, the impact was making a weird growling noise, so this lead to me replacing the motor. This is probably the newest tool that I restored/rebuilt. THE RESTORATION PROCESS
I tore the Milwaukee m12 impact apart and gave the parts a good cleaning. I sandblasted the nose cone and and bit sleeve. I gave the nose cone a quick polish and clean which would be the final result. The bit sleeved was hot blued. Hot bluing is the process where the part is heated up then quenched in oil to achieve the blackened look and to help prevent rust. This part turned out great. I regressed the hammer assembly then put it back together. While working on the plastic impact housing, I messed up some of the rubber, so I fixed that with some glue. I repainted the Milwaukee branding and replaced the decals. As you could hear, the impact was making a growling sound, so I replaced the motor and regreased the gears. You can sure tell a difference.
I think this small tool kit was worth the money and I will be using it in the future.
