A mining ship, Borealis, is hit by an asteroid, forcing miner Andy's cryopod to eject to an unknown planet. He survives a crash landing, sealing a torn suit and escaping a fire, clutching his son's toy. The Borealis crashes nearby, destroyed. With Leonard, the AI, guiding him, Andy heads toward a distant light. He discovers a damaged oxygen tank and a pod with blood marks, realizing he’s not alone.
