This week I'm cracking on with the mini lathe bearings change in my 7 x 14 Chinese mini lathe, and upgrading them with improved angular bearings. It's a bit later than I anticipated as the supplier sent the wrong bearings, but a new set of SKF 7206B 2RZP angular bearings arrived in time to finish the job for this week's video.
I managed to get one of the bearings on backwards but thankfully caught it before full reassembly. I've also realised that the OEM spindle pulley isn't meshing properly with the 5m-pitch HTD belt installed as part of the previous video's brushless motor upgrade - I have a new pulley I'll be fitting in the next video.
This video is one in a series of 7x14 mini lathe upgrades which also covers:
mini lathe HTD drive belt and pulley upgrade
mini lathe motor upgrade
mini lathe tailstock upgrade
mini lathe drive belt tensioner upgrade
