Sharing miniature fairy cottage house No.6 clay craft DIY idea. Since the fairy community is getting bigger, the fairy watcher who is looking after the tribe needs a taller building, yeah..a tower! So, here I am building a cottage - basically a long house where fairies can get together too.
And, 1 giant mushroom grew in front of the house where the fairy can come down and sit down there waiting for the door to be opened. Ha..ha...again, that's my imagination.
By the way, this mini fairy house is not just for playing though. If you want, you can use the tower as money box or planter. Cool! isn't it?
To make this craft project, I use plastic bottle caps, cardboard from pizza and snack box and air dry clay.
Don't worry too much about the clay. You can use any type of air dry clay that you are familiar with.
As usual, I use homemade clay - homemade paper clay precisely. In the part of the video I share with you that I use half done - still too soft/ too wet clay for the walls. This is just an idea that if you make homemade clay but it's too soft, don't throw it out. You can use it like a paste - clay paste :)
For the painting itself, I use dry brush painting technique again. I think I make a little bit of improvement than my first project - house no.5 for the roof. I am happy with it.
But, I must admit that my walls look awful. Honestly, I almost stop and abandon my miniature house project. But, hey...there must be away to salvage it, right? Yes! Finally, I add tiny clay flowers and artificial moss and...Voila! It works! The cottage looks pretty now.
