Video Not Working? Fix It Now

Since 2018, Peter and Isabele have used mixed annual fodder crops. It has not only improved the farm’s efficiency and resilience but also reduced their stress. Tune in to learn how their deliberate species selection and planning gives flexibility and reduces risk by offering multiple bites of the cherry. Tailoring mixes provides the Roberts with a reliable quality feed from autumn through to spring plus the option to grain harvest. They can adapt to seasonal or market changes by balancing livestock and agronomic goals. Acknowledgements: Videography: Grow Love Media Thanks to Peter and Isabele for generously sharing their story. This case study series was jointly funded by NSW Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development and Meat and Livestock Australia Donor Company. These are farmers' own experiences in using mixed species annual fodder crops. They offer insights into the practical methods farmers are currently trialling in different locations, systems and businesses. Your success may vary.
