This time, we made a video of our day trip to Miyajima Island. It is a day trip from Hiroshima Station to return by ferry.Starting with the train and ferry ride, we enjoyed a lot of sightseeing including Itsukushima Shrine and O-torii Gate on the sea, five-storied pagoda, Daisho-in Temple and other shrines and temples, autumn leaves and deer in Momijdani, and street food in Miyajima eating such as grilled oysters and sweets.
Transportation and meal expenses are also specified for each and summarized at the end of the video, so I would be happy if you could use it as a guide for your actual trip.
It was filmed in mid-October 2022, just as the autumn leaves in Momijidani were just starting to turn. The O-torii Gate of Itsukushima Shrine is under construction (scheduled to be completed in December 2022), so it looks a little unusual, but I hope you will enjoy it as well.
There is so much more to see and do on Miyajima Island that we cannot introduce all the places to walk around the shrines and temples, eat and drink, and enjoy sweets. I hope you'll make a visit to Miyajima Island, the island of the gods!
