G. Ramachandran. Ramachandran founded the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) in 1972 Now He is in Member of Parliament, representing Tiruchirappalli constituency in the Lok Sabha in congress party. The All-India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam, headed by former Tamil Nadu chief minister J Jayalalitha, split with seven of the 14 MPs casting their lot with S Thirunavukkarasu, Jayalalitha, removed Thirunavukkarasu for "anti-party activities", had claimed he was being removed for discussing intra-party matters in public and trying to form his own coterie within the AIADMK.
After M.G. Ramachandran died ,the AIADMK split into two factions, with one supporting Janaki Ramachandran, MGR’s wife and the other behind Jayalalithaa, who was at the time the party’s propaganda secretary.Thirunavukarasu standed on Jayalalithaa's Side.
But,Jayalalithaa’s close friend Sasikala had a major role in hand-picking party functionaries. Some senior leaders like Thirunavukarasu, and others who travelled with Jayalalithaa from the beginning, were slowly getting sidelined by the Sasikala family.
