I tackle some angled bridle joints, as well as mortise and tenon joinery and show you how I create tapered legs on the table saw. I also take a mini dive into how to choose the most appealing grain for the legs that can be applied to many furniture parts. Admittedly, I didn’t use all mortise and tenon joints where I could have, but instead used the Festool Domino in the interest of speed and efficiency. I wanted to demonstrate both methods so those of you without a Domino don’t get discouraged. Although the top is 1-¼” thick marble supplied by the client, I think this console table would look equally as beautiful with a walnut top that mimics the bottom shelf. **Plans are available to build your own console table which include a walnut top. #modernconsoletable #consoletable #midcenturyfurniture #modernfurniture ➤ Join my Modern Wood Academy and build a Modern Walnut Console Table along with me: https://rebrand.ly/modernwoodacademy ➤ Sign up for my FREE 3-part Video Series: https://bit.ly/KJfreevideoseries ➤ You can support me on Patreon! https://www.patreon.com/KeithJohnsonCustomWoodworking ➤ PLANS: http://www.keithjohnsoncww.com/shop/modern-walnut-console-table-full-plans ➤ 3 x 3 Custom Tenoning Jig video: https://youtu.be/h0ZjBgFX0Wk ➤ Total Boat: https://www.totalboat.com/totalboatBABY (save $$) 0:00 Intro and bloopers 0:18 Milling and plan overview 0:55 Leg Template 1:29 Choosing the best grain for your project 2:37 Cutting the legs 3:20 Angled bridle joints 5:44 Tapering the legs and glue-up 7:06 Skillshare promo 8:23 Mortise & tenon joinery 9:40 Dominoinery and dry assembly 11:38 Round over detail and small parts prep 12:56 Let's glue it up!! 13:48 Rubio Monocoat application 14:20 Lock blocks, Installing the recessed adjustable feet and final assembly 15:40 Delivery, final glamour shots and outro ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Other places to find me and my content: ➤Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/kjsawdust ➤ShopSounds Podcast: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/shop-sounds-podcast/id1514814400 ➤TikTok: https://vm.tiktok.com/psy918/ ➤Website: https://www.keithjohnsoncww.com ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ➤ My Tools (Woodworking & Audio/Video): https://www.amazon.com/shop/kjsawdust **As an Amazon Associate, I earn from qualifying purchases.
