The news often tells us we are on the path to becoming Vishwaguru, yet our local bodies are struggling to provide basic facilities like door-to-door garbage collection.
Despite promises and plans, the trash piles up, and citizens are left frustrated. So what’s really going wrong? We explore the challenges local bodies face and why bringing cleanliness to everyone remains an unrealized goal in India.
