Part 1: Division 1 U.S. 71: Loading cement mixer from R.E. Wyman, Maryville, MO; pouring cement on ground and men work it with shovels to patch a hole in a road.
Part 2: Division 5 U.S. 40: Men jackhammering a section of road, then repairing it; State Highway Department trucks at a sand and gravel yard; men fill wheelbarrows with gravel and sand and add the contents to a cement mixer; more work patching the road.
Part 3: Division 8 U.S. 66: work on Route 66; men load wheelbarrows with sand and weigh them, then do the same with rocks; men add bags of Red Bull cement mix to a truckload of sand and gravel; cement mixer is filled, driven to a site, then emptied into a hole in a road.
Part 4: Division 10 U.S. 61: men break up the edge of the road with jackhammers; dump truck loaded with gravel and sand outside a Continental Ginning System building, possibly making this Sikeston, Scott County, Missouri; more trucks arrive at the road to finish patching the hole; flame source for tar.
